Why I Should Have Looked Online For My Kids Army Costume First
I hope you all are enjoying the fall. The weather is cooling down and the kids are busy with their Halloween projects and lots of homework. I asked a personal friend to write his recent experience down for me so I could share it with you about shopping for kids army costumes.
Here is his story.
Halloween is less than 40 days away. I promised myself this year it was going to be different. I wasn’t going to be driving all over town at the last minute, fighting the crowds and traffic looking for my son’s must have army Halloween costume. He has been playing with little toy soldiers since he was 2 years old. One year I bought him some army pajamas and I couldn’t get him out of them. He wanted to wear them everywhere. I suspected this year was going to be the same once I found the right kids army costume.
Last week one of my buddies from work told me about a discount costume store that had just opened for Halloween here in town. I was going to surprise my son by buying him his first army costume. I did exactly what I said I wasn’t going to do, I drove down there in bumper to bumper traffic and sure enough when I arrived the store was packed. It was like Black Thursday all over again. In my haste I found what I thought was going to be the perfect costume. I bought it and returned home. The whole trip took me just under 2 hours.
I opened the package, took out the kids army costume and then my heart sunk! I realized there was no helmet, play gun, or some of the other details I had seen online. The quality was really poor and I’m not sure my son could even fit into the uniform. I decided to look online as I had done several times before. This is when I realized I had made a huge mistake.
I could have bought the same costume but much higher quality, including some additional accessories like a helmet (a must have), play grenade and canteen. And I could have saved about $20 too. It was priced at $34.99. I bought this kids army costumes from a recommendation of another friend, Tony at BuyCostumes.com. Here are some of the reviews that I should have read from their website.

My son loves the costume! Great look for a reasonable price. He can’t wait to show his friends on Halloween.

I knew better but didn’t listen to that little voice inside. I returned the costume I bought here in town and ordered the one online. Just as I thought when it arrived my son has not taken it off since. I’m writing this for my friend Tony who runs this website as a personal favor. I’m hoping you don’t make the same mistake I did. By the way I’m not a professional writer so I hope you don’t mind the roughness of this letter.
Thank You,
